Every football supporter knows exactly where they were on the 13th of May, 2012. For us City fans, it was a day that started with pure, unadulterated hope and nearly ended in the most agonising heartbreak imaginable. We had wiped out an eight-point deficit to catch Manchester United at the top of the table, setting up a final day where a win against relegation-threatened Queens Park Rangers would secure our first top-flight English title since 1968.

But typical City, we decided to do it the hard way. When the clock struck ninety minutes, we were 2-1 down, and over in Sunderland, United had won their game 1-0. The title was slipping away. Grown men were weeping in the stands of the City of Manchester Stadium. It felt like the ultimate punishment for daring to dream.
And then, Sergio Agüero, our undisputed Manchester City legend, stepped up and altered the fabric of football history forever.

The Deep Dive: The Anatomy of a Miracle
To understand the sheer magnitude of 93:20, you have to remember the chaos that preceded it. The match was an absolute brawl. By the 66th minute, QPR’s Joey Barton had lost his head, elbowing Carlos Tevez before violently kicking Agüero right in the knee on his way off the pitch. Even against ten men, we couldn't seem to break them down. The tension wasn't just palpable; it was suffocating.
Then, Roberto Mancini threw the kitchen sink at them, bringing on Edin Džeko and Mario Balotelli. As the board went up to show five minutes of injury time, Džeko gave us a lifeline, heading home an equaliser to make it 2-2. We had a glimmer of hope, but the seconds were draining away.
Enter Sergio
In the 94th minute, Agüero dropped deep to collect the ball, laid it off to Balotelli, and continued his run into the box. Balotelli, falling to the ground, managed to nudge the ball back into Agüero’s path. What happened next is burned into the retinas of every Citizen. Agüero took a touch, drove past a desperate lunge from a QPR defender, and unleashed a thunderous, low shot right into the near corner of the net.
The stadium erupted into a frenzy unlike anything English football had ever seen. Agüero ripped his shirt off, swinging it around his head before being dragged to the floor by his jubilant teammates. Vincent Kompany later recalled that amid the absolute pile-on, Agüero was crying on the turf.
Years later, Kun tried to explain his mindset in that split second. "You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again," he said. "I thought for all the world that Mario [Balotelli] was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."
It wasn't just a goal; it was an exorcism of decades of suffering for this football club.
A Legacy Built on Brutal Brilliance
While 93:20 will forever be his defining image, true supporters know Agüero's brilliance wasn't limited to a single afternoon in May. He was a relentless, powerful force. Former manager Roberto Mancini perfectly compared him to the legendary Brazilian Romário because of his frightening pace, lethal positioning, and raw technical brilliance. Despite his stocky build, his close control and incredible work ethic made him an absolute menace in the penalty area.
Who can forget the day he tore Newcastle United to shreds in October 2015? Agüero scored a mind-bending five goals in just 23 minutes of game time in a 6-1 comeback win, recording the fastest five-goal haul since the Premier League's inception in 1992.
He wasn't just our hero; he was the Premier League's ultimate foreign export. By the time he left us, he had amassed 184 league goals in 275 appearances, smashing Wayne Rooney's record for the most Premier League goals scored for a single club.

You might know exactly how hard he hit that ball against QPR, but how well do you really know Kun's career? Let's see if you have what it takes to answer these two hard-level trivia questions:
Question 1: In January 2018, Agüero scored the 350th goal of his professional career as part of a "perfect hat-trick" in a 3-1 Premier League victory. Which club was on the receiving end of this masterclass?
Question 2: Agüero was notoriously unlucky in certain matches. Against which team did he hit the post twice in a frustrating 1-1 away draw early in the 2018–19 Premier League season?
